MADELYN'S EASTER BASKET

Thursday, April 2, 2015

i started putting madelyn's easter basket together in the beginning of march, i was just so excited!

lamb | m has been obsessed with singing "mary has a little lamb" so when we walked into pbk a few weeks ago and she saw this lamb she just had to have it. i am surprised that she has forgotten about this cutie but come sunday i have a feeling it'll be her new best friend.

isla lace headband | i've become a huge fan of willow crowns' headbands so when they dropped their new spring line i just had to get m one. i'm thinking she'll definitely wear this for either my maternity or our newborn photo session.

felt bows | these are my favorite bows, hands down. the quality and the colors are just perfection. there was no doubt that m needed to add a few more to her collection.

what's an easter basket without a few books?!! madelyn loves her books and to read, i really hope she keeps her love as she grows.

happy easter, mouse | these are the cutest so obviously she needed one for this holiday.

baby's first book of prayers | we pray with m everyday so i thought it was would to nice to have a few more. plus, it's pure sweetness when she says "amen."

i'm a big sister | i thought this would be perfect for m as she is going to be a big sister soon.

bring home baby | for m's first birthday she got a baby stella and just loves her. she requests to her just about everywhere. recently she has been really interested in taking care of her with changing her diaper and such. so with her big sister promotion approaching i thought this little play set would be the cutest and i know she's just going to love it.

knotty tots moccs | these are my favorite moccs for madelyn. i love them for the fringe and bows. i saw these custom designs on instagram and knew m needed these little mary jane style clara moccs for her spring/summer wardrobe.

taylor joelle dress | duh, every little girl need a aqua lace tulle dress and i'm thinking this will be perfect for one of our upcoming photo sessions.

lip smackers | girlfriend is obessed with chapstick. every.single.time i take my out mine she just needs to put some on her lips too so i knew it would be perfect to get her some of her own. plus these little gems are just classic.

peeps lolli | this little bunny is just plain cute.

bubbles | last summer madelyn couldn't get enough of blowing bubbles so with warmer weather on the horizon it'll be so fun to get outside and enjoy these grape scented bubbles.

basket | (from michaels) girlfriend did get an upgrade from last year.

i cannot wait to give madelyn her basket of goodies because i know she's just going to love it!

happy new years eve!!

on my what a year, it's hard to be believe another year is gone and to be honest it's all been kind of a blur. it's been so fun looking back through pictures (thank goodness for instagram), seeing how much madelyn has grown over the past year and dreaming of what the new year will bring.

here are just a few (few may be an understatment) of my favorites pictures from the last twelve months ...

i get so excited to think about what new year will being but i know for sure we'll be welcoming our second love bug and miss madelyn is going to be such a sweet big sister.

wishing you all a beautiful and happy new year filled with love and laughter! xo

MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Tuesday, December 30, 2014

i cannot believe that christmas has come and gone, we still have our decorations and christmas tree up which we'll hold onto at least till the weekend. every year since vy and i were engaged we have traveled to orlando to celebrate christmas eve with his side then travel back to atlanta on christmas day to celebrate with my parents. which the additions we have gained over the years it is becoming a little tricky but we absolutely love being able to celebrate with both of our families so for now this is our tradition.

on christmas eve all the family gathered together to eat dinner, play a few games and open presents.
madelyn had so much fun playing with all her cousins. vy and i talked a lot about how much m has grown since last year, how exciting it was to watch her interact with her cousins and for all the years to come.
christmas day we celebrate with my parents & brother, it very low key as it was just us.

vy and i had planned to do our little family christmas on friday morning. santa brought madelyn this vintage white kitchen, it is completely and utterly adorable. vy insisted that he would build it when we returned thursday night versus building it prior to us leaving for orlando. to be fair i did warn him that it would take him a while but boys will be boys and he had it his way...which also meant that on thursday night it took him a little over four hours to build this play kitchen for his baby girl.
madelyn's little face when she saw this friday morning was pure sweetness and daddy said it was all worth it, of course. she absolutely loves it and has been cooking up some crazy awesome meals since. her imagination is something and i have no idea where they learn this from but it is so fun to play with her.

she also got this melissa & doug shopping cart & vintage baby high chair. madelyn received a lot of amazing presents from her friends and family and she has loved every single one.

hope you all had a wonderful christmas and happy new years eve eve! xo

MADELYN'S FIRST EASTER BASKET

Thursday, April 17, 2014

Confetti Romper - Target In Store / JellyCat Bunny - Gifted From a Friend / Chick - Target Dollar Spot / Stripe Bows - Ruby and Sue / Ella's Kitchen Puffits / Moo, Baa, La La La Book / Basket - Michaels

Growing up I always remember celebrating Easter and always so excited to see what kind of goodies I got in my basket. We always went to church then the hunt was on for those little colorful eggs and treats. It was always a fun day celebrating.

Putting together Madelyn's first Easter basket was so fun. I wanted to get her all things that I knew she loved and could grow with. Since she is growing so fast, I can hardly keep up. I am still trying to focus on planning her first birthday if I can hold back my tears long enough but that's another story. I had been thinking about what kind of goodies I wanted her first basket to have and now that it's complete it's exactly how I envision it to be. I cannot wait for her to see it Easter morning.

Hope you all have just as much fun putting those Easter goodies together for the special people in your life.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Friday, February 14, 2014

With all the free time I had the last few days, I was able to get a little crafty and make a little Valentine's inspired photo session with my sweet little model.
Celebrating holiday have seriously stepped up to another level since having Madelyn, I've just found another love for them. So of course we had to get Maddie a few things that we know she'll love.
We're Going on a Bear Hunt - this is a classic favorite and I know we'll have so much reading this one with M.
Happy Munchies Veggie & Fruit Crisps - I absolutely love this Happy Family brand and M has loved eating all of them.
Striped Flutter Sleeve Top - I just love the detail around the neck and the flutter sleeve is too cute.
Mary Jane Jelly Sandals - When I saw these online I just knew I had to get them. I always remember growing up loving my jellies so I felt like it was a must have for my little mini. Do they make these in my size?!

Wishing you all a day filled with love with the ones you love! xo
